CONGRATULATIONS!!

My little niece graduated from Kindergarten today and doesn't she look CUTE!
She won the award for Class Fashion Queen, and nobody deserves that more than her.

She was properly showered with balloons and gifts from me, my wonderful boyfriend (who will be mad if I don't mention HE PICKED OUT AND PURCHASED THE BALLONS) and my parents.

When It Rains, It Pours

I am SO sick of being sick!  The year started out with me having the flu, and it's all gone downhill since then.  Sore muscles, heartburn from drinking, stomach issues, and a whole long list of other things.  Got my wisdom teeth pulled and was out of work for a week because of complications, and most recently, I threw out my back jump roping and was unable to walk.  When I was finally ok again, I got the STOMACH flu.  ARG!!! I'm so over this!

Running

If there's anything in this world I dislike... it's running.  I remember coming up with all kinds of excuses in Elementary School to avoid running like, "I can't run Mr. Tipple, I'm dying."  He replied with, "All of us are.  Everyday you're a day closer to the day you die."  What a horrible thing to tell a fourth grader!

A few years back, I decided to look my dislike for running directly in the face and challenge it.  I was pretty desperate to lose weight, and dieting is not an option for me.  So I ran.  I dropped weight like crazy, slept better, and felt healthier.  Since running did so many positive things for me, why can't I get off the couch right now and go do it?  Maybe it's because I just polished off a bag of Oreos, or maybe it's because I have animals sleeping all around me.  Or maybe I'm still a little nervous about the creepy guy I ran into once who was possibly carrying a knife.  

I can sit here all day and make excuses, but the fact is, I've got a big vacation coming up that involves a little swimsuit.  Time to wrap the knees, tighten the laces, and hit the track.

Number One.

It's been a few years since I've written a blog, and who knows if this is something I'm even going to keep up with.  What made me decide to to this?  Sheer boredom.  What does the title "Anything and Everything Purple" mean?  Well... when I was little I was OBSESSED with purple, and always wanted to open my very own store called "Anything and Everything Purple" that sold anything and everything that was purple.  Since my creative skills are lacking at this very moment, I decided to name my blog that.  Clever?  Yes.  Boring?  Very.  Thanks for reading!  Please enjoy this disturbing Photo Booth picture of my cat Nibbler.
