A few years back, I decided to look my dislike for running directly in the face and challenge it. I was pretty desperate to lose weight, and dieting is not an option for me. So I ran. I dropped weight like crazy, slept better, and felt healthier. Since running did so many positive things for me, why can't I get off the couch right now and go do it? Maybe it's because I just polished off a bag of Oreos, or maybe it's because I have animals sleeping all around me. Or maybe I'm still a little nervous about the creepy guy I ran into once who was possibly carrying a knife.
I can sit here all day and make excuses, but the fact is, I've got a big vacation coming up that involves a little swimsuit. Time to wrap the knees, tighten the laces, and hit the track.
