P.S.
My fiance is amazing. I say it over and over again, but I just can't say it enough. During my meltdown, he stood there by me through all my insanity and kept telling me he loved me. What a nice guy. I'm so lucky. :)
SICK!!

NOOOO!!!! How can I be SICK?!?! I don't have time for this! Who gets a cold in the summer anyway? UGH! Best part about being sick though... no appetite. It's good because I don't have time to eat anyway. :D
In other news, the wedding is still rolling along. I haven't blogged in a while because I had a nervous breakdown and wasn't quite myself. But I'm back, and ready to get stuff done! We got our flower girl basket, rings have been engraved, guest book has been purchased, tuxedos have been ordered and we have PAST (PASSED?) the half way point on the Super Secret Wedding Project! YEESSS!!! Only 67 more favors need to be made!!! My goal is to have them ALL finished by August 20th. My mom says I'm crazy, but she's the crazy one who came up with the whole idea in the first place.
Bridal shower invites are OUT, and final meeting with the venue and photographer have been made.
Did I mention we ordered tuxedos? Did I mention how I drool over my fiance in a tux? He's dreamy as it is, but you should see him in a tux. Melts my heart every time.
In case you're wondering what the kitty cat pictured above has to do with the wedding, let me tell you, she has NOTHING to do with the wedding. She's our little Nibbler. We found her, or rather she found us, a couple years ago while we were throwing a party. It was raining outside and she kept running in the house when guests would arrive. She was only weeks old, and VERY thin, so we took her in, and fed her, and kept her. We call her Nibbler because if you don't pet her, she'll nibble you until you do. She's so weird.
She also hides under the bed during most of her day, so last night I stuck my camera under the bed and took this gem of a picture. That'll teach her to hide from me. Oh Nibbler.

Wow
I STILL can't believe how close we are getting to the big day! Response cards have started to come in, and everyone who knows me really well knows that I LOVE to get mail. Now the dog isn't the only one running to the front door when the mailman comes. Aside from cards, even wedding gifts have been coming! It's insane.
I'm still in a constant state of panic, but when I think about it, I'm surrounded by amazing people who want nothing but the best for us on our big day, and when it gets down to it, I'm sure everything is going to be ok. My bridesmaids told me that they wont let a single negative thing get near me on the actual wedding day. I love my girls. I am so lucky to have them here supporting me and helping me out every single day. Seriously, I talk to them every single day and they ask what they can do to help. Love them.
In other news, we took our dog Maple to the beach for the very first time this weekend. It was fun throwing the ball in the water and watching her get slammed by waves. She really had a good time too.
Admit it, Maple's pretty darn cute in this picture.

Then she sniffed a dog's butt. This dog's name was Frank.

Then we met up with my future inlaws and their dogs. Two yellow labs named Mari Rose and Molly, and a chocolate lab (who happens to be Maple's sister) Lacey. This is Lacey.

Here they are together. (Maple is on the left.)

Then I went against my rules about avoiding the ocean to take Maple in.

We lost Maple a couple times when she took off running with some strange dogs, but it was all in all an interesting day. Don't know if I'd want to do it again anytime soon though. It was a LOT of work. But I did get to see a dog fight....
Super Secret Wedding Project Update: 61 done. 89 to go.
Also, big shout out to Disney who just made my day today. They're really helping up out with some wedding stuff. Love you guys!!

Time

It just isn't on my side. The closer I get to the wedding, the more frequently my anxiety attacks become.
I've taken on a monumental task with this Super Secret Wedding Project, and it stresses me out so much. Each favor can take 30 min to 2 hours, and who can find time like that? I'm working 40 hours a week, sometimes 6 days a week, trying to plan this wedding, trying to stay in shape, and trying to mantain my social life. The only time I really have to work on things is on the weekend, which is also the only time I get to see my fiance. He gets sad when I'm working on wedding stuff instead of enjoying a movie with him on the couch, and I just don't know what to do.
People want to hang out, but it takes forever to load up the car with all the stuff, and by the time I get it to the destination and unload it, I have to go to work. I'm trying to cut back on weekend activities so I can get more stuff done, but there is just too much going on. Too much. I still need to make the centerpieces, and finish place cards too!
I'm being pulled in every direction and I just want to go away to a queit room and bury myself in the Secret Project until it's done. IT'S SO FRUSTRATING.
Did I mention that I'm so busy that I don't even have time to eat or clean or do laundry? Why take the time to cook a meal when in those thirty minutes I could have another favor done? Cherries take WAAAY too much time to wash, I could have cut out place cards instead. So yeah... I don't eat either.
I just want to hurry up and get to the wedding so I can relax. I need it.

Flies

When I say flies, I mean that our bridesmaids and groomsmen are dropping like flies. We're less than sixty days away and lightening has struck!
My fiance's best man is a girl, and yesterday at work, her lung collapsed and she is now in the hospital having surgery. She'll be in there for two weeks at LEAST. Think good thoughts for her though, because she's a good person and all we want is her to be healthy.
In other news, one of my bridesmaids got bit by a bug, a very dangerous bug, and she's under constant doctor supervision, heavily medicated, and unable to walk. I'm actually really worried about her, but she's a trooper and I know she'll be just fine. Keep her in your thoughts as well and hope that she feels better soon.

Television
This weekend was pretty exciting because the bakery doing our wedding cake now has a reality show, and the pilot aired this weekend! The show is called "The Bakery Bunch" and it's on TLC. It's kind of a mix of Kate Plus 8, and Cake Boss. It's about the owner Jennifer trying to raise triplet boys, and run her popular bakery.
They were supposed to be filming on the day of our cake designing, but it fell through so we didn't get to be famous... yet. We went back to the bakery a few days later to pick up some goodies, and sure enough, the cameras were rolling! However, our amazing faces didn't grace this episode. Maybe we'll get to see them make our cake in a later episode?
Anyway, it was fun to see all the little bakers at work and know that soon our wonderful cake will be getting the same treatment. At one point during the show, the owner Jennifer started cleaning out her car which at one point contained screaming triplets, and a few dogs. I wondered why she was cleaning out her car and what it had to do with the bakery, and then they loaded that gross car with a CAKE. EWWWWW!!! I don't want dog hair and stale Cherrios stuck in my wedding cake! GROSS!
Don't know if the show will get picked up or not, and I don't know if I want them to or not. If they get picked up, it would be fun to say my wedding cake came from there... but then they'll get more popular and the lines will be even longer than they already are. AND their prices will go up. Bummer. We'll see what happens though!
In other news:
1.) 55 Super Secret Wedding Project favors are done, and there are 95 more to go.
2.) I tried on my dress for the first time in 13 pounds and it looks AMAZING.
3.) Centerpieces have been more organized and all I need to do is wire a few together.
4.) INVITATIONS GO OUT TOMORROW!!!
People are going to get touchy about invitations so if you're one of those people and you're reading this, PLEASE understand. We were limited with how many people we could invite. It turns out, wedding budgets don't go as far as you might think, and when you're paying per person, the price keeps going up and up. There were SOOOO many more people I would have liked to invite, but you have to cut off somewhere. I could barely squeeze in my friends who I hang out with on a weekly basis. So please don't take it personally. I still love you. :)

Writing

This was a productive, and wonderful weekend! I got to spend THREE WHOLE DAYS with my handsome husband to be, and we got quite a bit done, including some much needed partying and relaxation.
First of all, this is the week that the invitations go out. He went out and purchased all the stamps, and I'm gearing up for some heavy duty writing. Yes, I am hand addressing the envelopes. It just makes it more personal, and it's old fashioned, and I love it. I can't wait for all the response cards to come back in because I LOOOVE getting mail.
Second, we designed our guest book. Our amazing photographers had us pick pictures from our engagement session, and the text, and they're going to put it all together. So guests will be signing a custom made coffee table book that is all about us! We had so much fun cuddled up together looking through pictures of ourselves and coming up with fun captions. We wanted it to be more than just a guest book, we want people to be encouraged to write little notes to us. For example, one page will be a picture of us jumping in the air, and across the top of the page it say, "What is some good advice for newly weds?" Or perhaps "What are some fun and exciting places we should visit together?" I can't wait to see what people will answer with.
Super Secret Wedding Project update: 40 done, 110 to go. We're on a roll!
In other wedding news that has nothing to do with writing, I picked up some important honeymoon items this weekend that are a MUST for Italy. I got him a money belt so we can both safely secure our money and passports while sight seeing, and I got a full length skirt so I can get into the Vatican! They have a strict dress code, and those Swiss guards can be mean. We also added a suitcase to our registry because he needs one.
We're getting so close to the big day, and my meltdowns are much more frequent... heaven help us.
